Subject: Vote Against Implementation of Emergencies Act

Dear Dr./Mr./Mrs./Miss [Last Name of MP]

I’m [Full Name], a naturalized Canadian citizen who loves our country and who has always been grateful for the opportunities Canada has given me and my family. I value and will always be grateful for the freedoms that we have here, which billions of people around the globe can only dream of, and which, unfortunately, are no longer enjoyed or exercised by all Canadians and immigrants due to the vaccine mandates.

As a constituent in your riding, I’m writing to you about my serious concern over the Emergencies Act. I would like for you to represent me and other constituents of your riding who oppose its implementation.

The only effective way to restore peace and order in this country, and to unite Canadians once again, is through effective communication, logic, and most of all, empathy — not through divisive rhetoric from the Prime Minister and the media. Not through tyranny. And certainly not by implementing Emergencies Act which will only empower the current Prime Minister who has divided and polarized the country with hateful and divisive rhetoric (for example: labeling those who oppose vaccine mandates “racists” and “misogynists,” “who take up space.”)

The Prime Minister had every opportunity to talk to the protesters and the truckers convoy’s organizers tactfully, gracefully, and effectively. However, he chose to flee his post in Ottawa — insulted, labelled, and threatened them — and allowed his vindictiveness and emotions cloud his judgement and take our beloved country to a dark path where:

  • journalists who try to cover police brutality are now threatened
  • protesters, including a journalist, were beaten and were sprayed with tear gas
  • the police freely trampled on protesters, including a disabled woman, with their horses
  • bank accounts of hard working Canadians, including of healthcare workers, who donated to the truckers’ convoy, are now at risk of getting frozen
  • dissidents can face financial sanctions and criminal charges for peacefully protesting
  • hard working Canadians who show support to those fighting for their basic human rights are labelled “terrorists.”

Dr./Mr./Mrs./Miss [Last Name of MP], you can help unite this country and make Canada a great example to the rest of the world once again. The world, the whole world, is watching. We will be remembered as the country that either trampled on basic human rights because of the vindictiveness of its current leader, or the country that has fallen but got back up to be on the right side of history.

It is up to you to help Canada become an amazing country once again where minorities are protected, not bullied and labeled negatively by the Prime Minister, and where Canadians can enjoy freedom of speech, freedom of thought, and freedom of assembly without worrying whether they will get arrested or have their bank accounts frozen for peacefully protesting, or Tweeting against the mandates and the Prime Minister, or for donating to a convoy that is against mandates and restrictions that are no longer seen as useful by the majority of Canadians.

Dr./Mr./Mrs./Miss [Last Name of MP], you’ve seen where the divisive and hateful rhetoric of the Prime Minister has led our beloved country. It is up to you to help unite us. You can choose logic and empathy, and VOTE “NO” to Emergencies Act, or you can vote “yes” to implement it and let the Prime Minister to continue to degrade, label, arrest, and freeze bank accounts of Canadians who don’t agree with his policies and vaccine mandates.

You, as an elected representative in the federal government, were sworn to represent your constituents, and I plead with you to do so. Now, kindly let it be known that I do not and will not stand for implementation of Emergencies Act, and will hold all of my elected representatives accountable by donating my time and financial resources, as well as leveraging my personal and social networks, to vote out MPs and MPPs who did not represent their constituents who oppose the implementation of Emergencies Act.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
[Full Name]
